Sam Egube

Sam Egube is the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State and Chairman of the EKO 2026 Local Organising Committee. An engineer, banker, and public sector leader, he brings over three decades of experience spanning finance, economic planning, corporate leadership, and government.

A former Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Egube has played key roles in strategic planning and public sector delivery in Lagos State. His career also includes senior leadership positions in Nigeria’s banking sector, backed by academic and executive training in engineering, business, and leadership.

As Chairman of the EKO 2026 LOC, he leads the collective effort to deliver a Games that reflects Lagos’ capacity for major event delivery and creates an experience worthy of Nigeria’s emerging athletes.

Mobolaji Ogunlende

Mobolaji Abubakre Ogunlende is the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development and Co-Chairman of the EKO 2026 Local Organising Committee.

His work in public service is centred on youth participation, social development, and expanding opportunities for young people. Before his current appointment, he built professional experience across the private sector and community development, with a longstanding record of supporting education, health, youth development, and community-focused programmes.

As Co-Chairman of the EKO 2026 LOC, Ogunlende brings a strong youth-centred perspective to the Games, helping ensure that the aspirations, development, and experience of young athletes remain central to its delivery.

Lekan Fatodu

Lekan Fatodu is the Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission and Co-Chairman of the EKO 2026 Local Organising Committee. A development practitioner, public policy strategist, and communications professional, his work spans sports development, sustainable development, strategic communications, and public service.

Before his appointment to lead the Lagos State Sports Commission, he served as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Sustainable Development Goals. As Director General, his leadership has focused on grassroots participation, talent discovery, athlete welfare, sporting infrastructure, and stronger pathways for emerging athletes.

At EKO 2026, Fatodu brings direct sports administration and athlete development experience to the LOC, with a focus on delivering a credible national competition that strengthens the journey from emerging talent to higher levels of sporting excellence.
